Geeconomy comes from the two words Geek + Economy . Which means the geeks of economy. Geeconomy is an independent, non-profit student organization, founded in 2022 by students of the University of Western Macedonia. It is the first economic team and is referred to students of all universities, regardless of the department or the year they are in. Because every student has the opportunity to connect with modern financial science.
What is our goal ?
The goal of our team is to provide students with a first contact of the labor market, high quality knowledge related to financial issues, hard and soft skills. Update on current issues such as: (valuation, stock analysis) through writing articles. Thus providing the opportunity for members to network and improve their skills. This is achieved through participating in the 4 sub-groups of Geeconomy which are: Marketing, Website, Blog and Event Planning. Where we "build a bridge" between the academic community and the labor market.
